Everlasting God,
fountain of all life and the true home of every heart:
our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you.
Yet we confess that often our hearts remain restless;
our attention and desires shift and change from
one hope to another: work, beauty, acceptance and acclaim.
We have sought after many things when we should have been seeking you.
Help us to turn to you, rest in you, and delight in you.
Lead us home so we may again find in you our life,
our joy and our peace. Amen
